From Yarn to Inspection: How Our Fabrics Are Made
Follow a Poongjin fabric through the five stages of production — yarn QC, knitting, dyeing, 4-point inspection and pre-shipment verification.
Every Poongjin fabric passes through five controlled stages before it reaches a sewing vendor. Here is what happens at each one.
Stage 1 — Yarn & fabric QC. Fiber quality and yarn properties such as evenness and strength are verified, and yarn LOTs are managed for consistent color. Stage 2 — knitting process QC. Machine settings (loop density, course length) are checked, fabric weight is monitored, and common faults like needle lines and oil stains are prevented.
Stage 3 — dyeing process QC. Dye baths are prepared for even dispersion, penetration and color matching are verified, and the dyeing method is matched to the product. Stage 4 — final fabric inspection. Every roll is graded under the 4-Point System, with relaxation checks for shrinkage and distortion.
Stage 5 — pre-shipment verification. Packing accuracy is confirmed and everything is tracked on our in-house ERP system. Combined with our In-house Lab — where every bulk lot is tested before shipment — this process is what lets buyers trust consistent quality, lot after lot.
